Monleón trabalha com uma variedade de processos e materiais, vivos e não-vivos, que resultam em esculturas e obras participativas. Trabalhos que envolvem diferentes níveis de percepção e consciência corporal, do microbiológico à articulação de corpos performativos e sociais.
O artista dedica especial atenção aos processos digestivos e ao combinar mecanismos evolutivos de diferentes espécies, Monléon cria novos metabolismos, tanto híbridos, quanto cibernéticos.
Carlos desenvolveu projetos em espaços como Autoitalia, Seventeen Gallery e Diaspore Project Space, em Londres; Cráter Invertido, México; Hangar, Lisboa; como também em instituições como Studio -X, Istambul; HIAP, Helsinki; Matadero, CA2M e La Casa Encendida, Madrid. Monléon é mestre em Artes Visuais pelo Royal College de Londres.

Monléon works with a variety of processes and materials, both living and non-living, that result in sculptural and participatory artworks. These span across different levels of bodily sensation and awareness; from the microbiological to the performative and social bodies.
His main line of work traces evolutionary mechanisms that stem from digestion and cognition and result in the distribution of bodily processes across multi-species entanglements and cybernetic metabolisms.
Carlos has developed projects at spaces such as Autoitalia, Seventeen Gallery and Diaspore Project Space, London, Cráter Invertido, Mexico, Hangar, Lisbon as well as institutions such as Studio -X Istanbul, HIAP Helsinki, Matadero, CA2M and La Casa Encendida, Madrid.

Miriam Simun (EUA) é uma artista interdisciplinar cuja obra está situada na intersecção entre ecologia, tecnologia e corpo. Ela trabalha em vários formatos, incluindo desenho, escrita, performance, instalação, perfumes, vídeo e escultura.
O trabalho de Simun foi apresentado no New Museum (Nova York), no Himalayas Museum (Xangai), DeutscheBank Kunsthalle (Berlim), The Contemporary (Baltimore), Ronald Feldman Belas Artes (Nova York), Museu de Belas Artes (Split), Museu de Artes e Design (Nova York), Galeria Robert Rauschenberg (Nova York), Centro Bemis de Arte Contemporânea (Omaha) e o Centro Beall de Arte + Tecnologia (Irvine).
Foi premiada pela Creative Capital, pelas Fundações Robert Rauschenberg e Joan Mitchell, como também é a primeira residente internacional das Carpintarias de São Lázaro, da Fundação Gulbenkian de Lisboa, em 2019. Em 2018, foi residente no Headlands Center e em 2016, residente no OMI International Arts Center de Nova York. Seu trabalho tem sido reconhecido internacionalmente em publicações e transmissões como BBC, New York Times, The New Yorker, CBC, MTV, Forbes, Art21 e ARTNews. Simun é graduada pelo MIT Media Lab, pelo programa de telecomunicações interativa da Universidade de Nova York e Tisch School for the Arts e na London School of Economics e Political Science.
Miriam Simun (US) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is situated at the intersection of ecology, technology and the body. She works in multiple formats including drawing, writing, performance, installation, scent, video and sculpture.
Simun’s work has been presented by the New Museum (New York), Himalayas Museum (Shanghai), DeutscheBank Kunsthalle (Berlin), The Contemporary (Baltimore), Ronald Feldman Fine Arts (New York), Museum of Fine Arts (Split), Museum of Arts and Design (New York), Robert Rauschenberg Gallery (New York), Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (Omaha), and the Beall Center for Art + Technology (Irvine).
She is a recipient of awards from Creative Capital, Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Joan Mitchell Foundation, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, as well as the inaugural 2019 Gulbenkian / Carpintarias de São Lázaro International Artist-in-Residence, a 2018 Headlands Center for the Arts Visual Arts Residency, a 2016 Artist Residency with OMI International Arts Center in New York, a 2015 Food Justice Residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute, and a 2014 Art Professionals in Athens residency in Greece. Her work has been recognized internationally in publications including the BBC, The New York Times, The New Yorker, CBC, MTV, Forbes, Art21 and ARTNews. As obras de Rumen Dimitrov são esculturas em grande escala, ao ar livre, feitas de materiais naturais robustos, exibindo um estilo rústico e de acabamento natural.
Ele é mestre em Artes pela Universidade Metodista da Bulgária e membro da União dos Artistas Búlgaros. Em 1999, ele fundou a Duppini Art Group Association. E desde 2011, como presidente da Associação, vem organizando o Simpósio Internacional de Arte e Natureza, intitulado Art-Nature Gabrovtsi, ele também criou o pequeno festival de arte contemporânea The Old Post Or The Contemporary Means Of Communication, além do projeto Master, Journeyman And Apprentice, programa inaugural do Fundo Nacional de Cultura da Bulgária. Ele regularmente conduz workshops sobre as relações entre a Natureza e a Escultura, como também, é diretor do Global Nomadic Art Project Europe, realizado na Bulgária em 2017, uma coprodução do Duppini Art Group e da Associação Coreana Yatoo.
Dimitrov foi convidado para vários simpósios, projetos, residências e eventos de land art em todo o mundo, e tem mais de 15 exposições individuais, além de vários prêmios, entre eles: em 2009 – Prêmio de Escultura do Allianz Bank; 2011, Prêmio de Seleção Especial do Sea Art Festival, parte da Bienal de Bussan na Coréia do Sul; e em 2012, recebeu a cidadania honorária da cidade de Icheon, na Coréia do Sul.

A lover of nature, Dimitrov works are large-scale outdoor sculptures made from robust natural materials, displaying a rugged and rustic unfinished style.
He has M.A. by the Methodius University in Bulgaria and he is a member of the Union of the Bulgarian Artists. In 1999, he established the Duppini Art Group Association. Since 2011, like chairman of Duppini Association ( a non governmental organization), he organized the International Symposium of Arts in the Nature, called Art-Nature Gabrovtsi, a festival for contemporary arts The Old Post Or The Contemporary Means Of Communication, and the project Master, Journeyman And Apprentice, inaugural program for Bulgarian National Culture Fund. He regularly leads workshops about the relations between Nature and Sculpture and he is also the director of the Global Nomadic Art Project Europe, held in Bulgaria, 2017, a co-production of Duppini Art Group and Yatoo’s Korean Association.
Dimitrov has been invited to several symposiums, projects, residencies and land art events all over the world, and has more than 15 solo exhibitions and several awards, i.e. in 2009 – Award For Sculpture by Allianz Bank Awards; 2011, Special Selection Prize by the Sea Art Festival, part of Bussan Biennale in South Korea; 2012, Icheon Honorary Citizenship, South Korea, among others.

Ío é o duo de artistas formado por Laura Cattani e Munir Klamt, doutores em Poéticas Visuais pela UFRGS. Desde sua criação em 2003, a Ío tem realizado obras e exposições que nascem de reflexões abarcando áreas como astronomia, biologia e mitologia. Sua poética oscila entre tânatos e eros, e as obras tomam forma por meio de desenhos, fotografias, vídeos e instalações com materiais simbólicos como sal, alumínio, borracha e chocolate. Realizou exposições e projetos multimídia em diversas cidades do Brasil, bem como Uruguai, Argentina e França.

Ío is the artist duo Laura Cattani and Munir Klamt, both with PHD in Visual Art by UFRGS. From the duo start in 2003, Ío has been creating works and exhibitions that emerge from research and reflections connected to other scientific field such as astronomy, biology and even mythology. Ío’s poetics navigates between Thanatos and Eros, and their works take shape through drawings, photographs, videos and installations, using symbolic materials such as salt, aluminum, rubber and chocolate. Ío has held exhibitions and multimedia projects in several cities in Brazil, as well as Uruguay, Argentina and France.
