É com imenso prazer que anunciamos oficialmente os quatro artistas selecionados para o nosso programa inaugural de residência artística internacional.
Rumen Dimitrov (BG), Carlos Monleón (ES), Miriam Simun (EUA) e Ío (BR) foram os quatro artistas mais pontuados na votação do nosso júri internacional. O júri foi composto por Ane Rodríguez Armendariz (ES), Bruna Fetter (BR), Jacques Leenhardt (FR), Luísa Especial (PT), Maria Isabel Rueda (CO), Michelle Sommer (BR), Richard Le Quellec (CH), Maria Amélia Bulhões (BR), Denis Rodriguez (BR) e pelo fundador e presidente do Instituto Yvy Maraey, Irineu Garcia (BR).
Durante as quatro semanas de residência imersiva, os artistas selecionados criarão instalações – intervenções permanentes e / ou temporárias – em torno dos 25 acres do Instituto. O programa busca dar visibilidade às práticas artísticas que questionam as contradições e ambivalências da complexa relação entre arte e natureza.
Kaá acontece entre os dias 20 de março e 20 de abril de 2019. Este anúncio inicia a contagem regressiva para o início do programa no dia 20 de março. Nos próximos 30 dias, anunciaremos todas as atividades que acontecerão no Instituto Yvy Maraey.

We are excited to officially announce the four selected artists for our inaugural residency program.

They were the top four artists in the voting of our international jury. The jury was composed by Ane Rodriguez Armendariz (ES), Bruna Fetter (BR), Jacques Leenhardt (FR), Luísa Especial (PT), Maria Isabel Rueda (CO), Michelle Sommer (BR), Richard Le Quellec (CH), Maria Amélia Bulhões (BR), Denis Rodriguez (BR) and Yvy Maraey’s founder and director, Irineu Garcia (BR).
During the four-week residency, the selected artists will create contemporary art works and installations – permanent and / or temporary interventions – around the 25 acres of the Institute. The program seeks to give visibility to the artistic practices that question the contradictions and ambivalences of the complex relationship between art and nature.
Kaá, the Yvy Maraey Institute’s International Artist-in-Residence program, will be carried out from March 20th to April 20th, 2019. This announcement initiates the countdown to the beginning of the program on March 20th. Over the next 30 days we will announce all the activities that will happen at the Yvy Maraey Institute.
